The Promise and Peril of Artificial Intelligence
Brandon Boesch is associate professor of philosophy at Morningside University. He completed his Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of South Carolina in 2018. His previous work has focused on the nature and role of representation in science and has been published in Synthese, Philosophy of Science, and Studies in History and Philosophy of Science, among others. He is currently working on two book projects. The first explores philosophical questions found within contemporary meteorological practice and the second explores ethical questions related to nonprofits and fundraising. He is the PI on a recently-awarded NSF grant to explore the effects of teaching scientific uncertainty in undergraduate STEM classes and is a co-PI on an NEH grant developing a new minor in agricultural humanities. In his spare time, Brandon likes to spend time gardening with his wife and their three young children.
